Rebecca

One of  the key themes in my book Spellbound is the film (based on the amazing book by Daphne Du Maurier) Rebecca. I reference it alot - it is one of my favourite Hitchcock films and probably one of my all time favourite films. It is definitely one of my favourite books.

Max de Winter is an incredibly romantic leading man and Laurence Olivier personifies him perfectly. I fell in love with his Maxim years ago and I have (as my latest book attests) never gotten over him. Joan Fontaine is wonderful as the girl with no name ...

Sigh.

You just have to see it for yourself.
If you've never watched Rebecca, here it is in all its glory.
Enjoy.
