Fantasies about Force (Part Two)

This great image was taken from the Delta of Venus erotic image site. Click on the image and go and have a look at their site. #share the love.

Part of what will transform fantasies about force, is male desire. If we encourage the conversation, men will feel more comfortable to "come out" about their own force fantasies about rape. If men are having these fantasies, particularly straight men thinking about other men, or even women raping them, the conversation starts to leave the domain of cause and effect.

In a conversation I had a few years back with a prostitute who was very well organised politically and socially, she stated that prostitution needed to be unionised, insurances needed to be obtained, and most of all, sex workers needed to be included in the public conversations about them. She explained to me, that taking prostitution out of the deep dark realms of illicit sleaze and forbidden secrets, solves almost all of the social problems associated with it. More than anything else, she wanted to be included when society got together to "discuss prostitution" something that is almost never done with sex workers themselves.

By shining bright lights on these rumours, myths and secrets, you bring what is unconscious to the fore and make it conscious. There are lots of forums and places on line, even more now that erotica is such a hot genre in the reading world, for people to talk about force fantasies and what is really happening when we do that.

I know that for myself, when I was a strict Christian, I had vivid thrilling force fantasies, that died and become uninteresting when I left the church. You don't need a degree in psychology to work out what is going on there, and I was even conscious of this when I was in the Church. Part of what helped me leave was an ongoing reflection on the power the church had over me. My fantasies helped me understand myself. People can (and more importantly need to) be trusted with their own desire.

They have to be. If we are going to continue down the path that the fantasy of one individual causes or permisses the poor behaviour of another individual, we are building a world that we have been working very hard to remove ourselves from.

Fantasies about Force (Part One)

The notion that women who fantasise about forced sex subliminally means they "want it" was a way of controling female fantasy. Feminism (and rightly so) argued a link between the fantasy of force as a woman's compliance in the mysoganistic theory that all women want it, but you need to force them, and in some ways, and for some people, this is true. Just as we fantasise about incest, or beastiality, or BDSM or religious figures, the anti-sociatal message will heavily influence all sexual desire.

However, what the mysoganistic theory of force really did, was refuse women the right to fantasise. By linking paractise and fantasy, a mysoganistic society could convince a woman that NOT fantqasising about rape and force was a way of controlling it. The logical progression is, if rape fantasy gives men permission to rape, not fantasising will remove that permission.

Feminism was (and continues to be) right, however the focus to control rape should be on rapists and not fantasisers, even in the redcesses of our minds. There is no question that there are females that comply with mysogany, but control over rape should not start with what happens when a female is masturbating or exploring sex intimately with her partner. In fact at this point in the on going debate, it would be better to allow these fantasies, bring them into the light, and debate the rights of women to dream what they like without having to think of managing male desire. Just as we did with other mythologies about female control over when, where, how and by whom she is raped.

Blasphemous Sex Stories - Part Two

Britany Spears

In yesterday's post, I spoke about the strange fascination Anglo cultures have with the erotic coupling with religious figures.
This is the second half of that post.

When I wrote All For Nun, I did a lot of "research" (that's my story and I'm sticking to it) into 1950's and 1960's nunsploitation porn, vintage erotica written about Priests and Nun's and pretty much anything else I could get my hands on.

There are several consistencies that I found:

1. Sex with a religious figure is secret.

2. Sex with a religious figure is a breech of trust and a betrayal of societies values.

3. Sex with a religious figure can be domination or submission, initiated by them or inflicted on them.

4. Sex with a religious figure often included the devil, or demons in some way.

5. Sex with a religious figure usually included an overwhelming explosion of lust that cannot be stopped.

6. Sex with a religious figure always includes iconography - crosses, habits, cloaks etc.

7. Sex with a religious figure is transgressive - lesbian, homosexual, group - but rarely interracial.

8. Sex with a religious figure usually involves religiously sanctioned misogyny.

9. Sex with a religious figure is almost always connected with financial corruption.

10. Sex with a religious figure is emblematic of organisational corruption - it is rarely one priest or nun in isolation, but an enormous secret society of lustful corruption.

Some of these consistencies are obvious, like corruption of the soul and secrecy. But beneath that is a lustful longing for the stripping away of hypocrisy as well as a desire for the crumbling of society. The financial connection is interesting. In almost all religious figure porn, there are financial transactions taking place, usually with a priest pimping nuns, or taking bribes to turn away from spiritual crime.

Sometimes, and I included this in All For Nun, the betrayal of innocence includes parental betrayal. My young Nun has been sent to the terrible convent, because she couldn't control her teenage lust.

I think this is all very interesting when you position it against our intense fury when we discover this may have been happening for real in life. The anger unleashed on corrupt priests and nuns (and other religious figures) mirrors our secret lust. We need these people to be who they purport to be, not matter how tempted they may be from their chosen path. Our desire represents the opposite of our need, and our lust comes from a fear that what we are secretly wishing for might come true.

Like the fear addict who can't stop watching horror movies, our lust for sex with religious figures, includes our terror that it might come true.

Kent Cigarettes

Inspired by the post below about White Flesh Black Market: Spies in the House of Lust, I thought I would share the fantastic images that are within the pages of the book Operation Doomsday by Paul Kenyon.

Get a load of this:

These advertisements are sitting in the book as pages.
Needless to say, Sonny and Biddy - WBYK (cover designers extrordinaire) and I were thrilled when we saw these.

So I thought I would gather up some other amazing Kent Ads from the past.

Check these out:

All-together!

Scientists AND Educators?

What is going on with this "white/black" dude?

Just so we can show that Kent is "authentic" black - we'll  get down with the lingo.

Delta of Venus - Vintage Erotica Site

I just found a wonderful vintage erotica site.
Delta of Venus has lots of hard core stuff for aficionados who like a little "strength" to their naughtiness, but it contains lots of class for those who prefer some subtlety.
With everything from old desk top wall papers to sending naughty postcards (what a nice Valentines Day idea) to buying erotic prints through to good old fashioned porn sites and one site called 'honest porn reviews' its a nice little place to spend thirty minutes reading or fifteen minutes alone time or perhaps a full hour with your lover....
Enjoy!
